Object Description
Chinese early 18th Century blue and white small porcelain plate made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for export to Europe at the kilns at Jingdezhen
The sides are lightly molded with a band of stylised ruyi head with cloud shapes
The interior painted with a seated lady at a table on a terrace in front of a pavilion, the table has a small vase with a flower. On the terrace there is hollow rock behind a pyramid fence. The area is over hung by a branch from a pine tree and fronds from a plantain (banana tree)
The reverse has a six character apocryphal Cheng H’ua mark to honour not to deceive.
