Object Description

Chinese early 18th Century Kangxi famille verte deep octagonal oblong dish, probably a base for a tureen.
Excellent painting and bright enamels with decoration to show Chrysanthemum, Plum Blossom and Peonies with a pair of swallows. The swallow is the sign of spring
The panels are painted with flowers reflecting the flowers from the centre and these are also painted to the underside of the rim.
Wonderful painting which is heightened with gilt.

Object Condition

A few very small rim frits But these are very small overall very good. there have two holes drilled through the foot rim so it can be hung on the wall
