Object Description
Chinese early 18th century blue and white moulded saucer plate made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen for export to Europe. Excellent quality deep lobed plate with good blue decoration. It is rare as it is a smaller than usual for this style and pattern
The painting shows panels to the edge of ladies holding flowers in front of a pyramid fence or flowering peonies or Chrysanthemums.
The centre painted with a seated lady holding a flower with a jardinière of flowers and rock work behind her.
The underside is painted with scrolling lotus to the sides and a double circle around the mark for Jade – Yu mark –
