Object Description
Chinese early 18th century famille verte candle stick / chamber stick made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi, 1662-1722 at Jingdezhen for export to Europe and so classed as export ware.
The interior painted with fan shaped panels of flowers and foliage in a famille verte palette below a border of demi flower heads and scrolling foliage. The holder itself has bands around the top and the base of orange petals.
The outside painted with scattered flower heads
To make sure the holder was stable for the lit candle or taper it has three pad feet to the base this made sure it wouldnt rock
