Object Description
Kangxi 1662-1722 porcelain blue and white shallow dish made at Jingdezhen at the start of the 18th century – Qing Dynasty. Painted with a six character mark for the Emperor Kangxi although the Piece is classed Export ware but of high quality
Painted around the sides with panels showing a seated lady or flowers, the panels are separated by various geometric or decorative designs.
The centre shows a lady in a garden / terrace setting with rockwork plantain and tree peony in front of a fence
The underside is decorated with panels of Ruyi heads below a flower band.
The six character Kangxi mark is with in a double blue double circle
It is not common to find this design on the smaller size dish like this
