Object Description
Chinese early 18th century moulded porcelain baluster vase. Made at Jingdezhen during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for export to Europe. The white metal lid is very probably silver and would have been added later.
The fluted body of the vase has spiral panels alternating with various flowers and plants with squirrels and insects.
Around the base and shoulder are shaped panels with tree peonies.
