Object Description
Chinese early 18th century Famille verte Lozenge shaped vases made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen during the mid to later part of his reign.
The main panels are painted with a Kylin a mythical beast on the banks of a mountainous river landscape with flowering tree peonies. The sides are painted with a similar naturalistic setting but with a goose or duck.
The base has flowering plants around and to the shoulder a green border with small flowers.
Excellent painting and subject matter.
The white metal mounts are probably silver and added at a later date
