Object Description
Chinese porcelain saucer dish painted in underglaze blue. This type of ware is known as Kraak and was made extensively for export to Europe, and is considered the first of the large scale export ware.
Paintaed to the centre in a shaped panel with an aquatic scene of flowering plants, water and rockwork. The sides are painted in roundels with auspicious emblems.
