(Dressing table mirrors, often referred to as “toilet mirrors”
were made from the towards the early 18th century onwards.
Designed to sit atop a dressing table, or chest of drawers, in the
bedroom or dressing room they are found in a huge variety of
sizes, woods, shapes, sizes and qualities. This particular example
is most unusual, being significantly larger than normal and is
a size we have rarely seen before. It is good quality, elegant in
