Object Description
A Delightful And Most Unusual 18th Century Chippendale
Period Mahogany Side Table Of Unusually Large Proportion
Having Superbly Figured Top With Wide Crossbanded Decoration
Over Three Drawers Retaining Original Brass Handles Raised On
Square Chamfered Legs United By Elegant Pierced Wavy Cross

( This fabulous quality table is constructed from a high grade cuban
mahogany and the dimensions are most unusual, making it difficult
to decide what it’s original purpose would have been. It is however fair
to say that it is a most useful, practical and functional item and would
suit a variety of different places around the home or office. It also retains
its original brass handles and has a most elegant cross stretcher. Clearly
a lot of thought went into ensuring this was not just a plain standard piece
of furniture when it was first commissioned and instead had various “extra”
features to lift it above many other similar items. )
