Object Description
Emile Andre Boisseau (1842-1923, France) bronze sculpture of a man wearing a fur loin cloth, he holds a sword in one hand and leans beside a farmer’s plow; titled on a brass plaque on the front in Latin and French “Ense et Aratro (by sword and by plow) and reads “Salon Des Beaux Arts”.
Bronze has an excellent patina, inscribed E. Boisseau. 34 in. high x 22 in. wide x 13 in. deep. Weight: 76.25 lbs.
