Object Description

This large provincial apostle spoon was made by HP conjoined and is listed in Jacksons page 516 as C1590 on a maidenhead spoon – we believe this is to slightly later and indeed spoons by this maker have appeared 1620 and 1640, this one has the pin prick initials IH over HB 1650, it measures 7 5/8 inches in length and appears to be St Matthew, it is marked in the bowl with the makers mark and the bowl is large and well formed, a nice spoon in very good condition weighing 1.55 ounces or 48 grams.
