A late 17th to early 18th century oil painting on canvas portrait of a Gentleman.
The painting is held in a carved wood and gilded frame with carved overlaid acanthus leaves.
The portrait is of a young gentleman with long hair, a high white collar and a velvet cloak or coat.
The painting is in good condition, no signature can be seen apart from the number 26 in the bottom left hand corner.
The back of the canvas an the frame both have ‘DH 40’ in white painted on. (Circa 1700)
