Late Medieval Bronze Padlock

Object Description

A late Medieval tumbler padlock featuring four movable circular segments. A pin would have been inserted in the middle with the segment lined up to the correct positions in order for the mechanism to be unlocked. The bar has been bent out of place and is no longer in working condition.

Date: Circa 15th-17th century AD

Good. Visible patination, bar is now bent out of place.
