Object Description
A grained leather Kit or Square Mouthed Bag by an unnamed, maker.
The bag has two brass slide catches to the top and a central lock. The key is missing but it also works on a push button with a leather tab to help pull it open. The carrying handle is shaped and padded. The interior is lined in linen with a pocket to one long side. The base has five large dome studs to raise it off the ground.
A useful sized bag for a weekend. Circa 1900.
