Object Description
This lovely part embossed George II silver etui was made C1740 and measures 3.75 inches tall by 1.75 inches at its widest and it has and embossed band around the hinged lid with a further band around the centre of the body that has a dog and C scrolls to the front and to the other side a dog with a duck either side of it and further scrolling, it opens to reveal a full kit with silver 2 handles and a steel grater, a steel darning needle, a pair of folding steel bladed scissors, a scimitar knife blade and a palette knife blade, a pair of steel pointed protractors, a fleam, a folding silver ruler, a silver ear scoop/needle, a pen with knib, a steel 2 prong fork and another small piece. It has the engraving HEDWIG WITKOWSKI 19 MAI 1909 under the base and has a push button to the side for opening, a lovely etui with very sharp detailing to both sides in excellent condition.
