Object Description

This super George III silver salver was made in London 1772 by Richard Rugg and measures 13.25 inches in dia, it has a shaped and gadrooned border with fleur de lys style medallions interspersed and around the edge it has gadrooned belle flowers with drop detailing and medallions. It has a pretty central flower and foliage cartouche bearing the initials DTS in flowing script and it stands on 3 ball and claw feet. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back and also the initials S over TD and is in super condition weighing 34.49 ounces or 1087 grams.
