Object Description
This lovely quality early Charles I seal top spoon was made in London in 1626 by Benjamin Yates and measure 6 9/16 inches in length, it has the pin pricked initials of IP over MC to the pale lemon gilded seal, the seal itself is very crisp and well defined and it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem and also to the bowl with the leopards head, the bowl is of good gauge and well formed, a lovely spoon in excellent condition weighing ounces or grams.
