Object Description
This very nice crested rococo George II silver cream jug was made in London in 1750 by Dorothy Mills and Thomas Sarbitt and measures 3.5 inches tall by 3.75 inches handle to spout, it is beautifully decorated with flowers and foliage, scrolls, acanthus leaves, birds and fish scale engraving, it stands on 3 shaped legs and has a central shaped cartouche to the front bearing the crest of a griffins head. It is hallmarked under the base and is in good condition and has crisp decoration and weighs 3.95 ounces or 91 grams.
