The rectangular moulded edge overhanging top above a shaped frieze with five drawers, each retain original handles; raised on cabriole legs with a round pad foot.

The rectangular moulded edge overhanging top above a shaped frieze with five drawers, each retain original handles; raised on cabriole legs with a round pad foot.
Padauk was the favoured wood of furniture makers in the British colonies in 18th and 19th centuries and often referred to as East Indian mahogany.
Original condition. Lovely mellow patina.
