Object Description
A small mahogany Double Campaign Mirror.
The mirror has a hinged foot that sits flush to the back of the frame when packed for travel. The protective cover section slides out to be independent from the stand and is reversible with a standard mirror to the back. It can either be turned and put back in the mirror for use or it can be hung separately.
The second looking glass is round and magnified for shaving etc. As is typical of most small portable mirrors the glass is held in place with boxwood and ebony stringing which also provides a little decoration.
Aside from free standing, the main mirror can also be hung by its brass ring. Both glasses have some foxing to the plates but you would expect that. This is a good quality mirror and a little different to most small campaign mirrors we see. Early to mid 19th Century.
Size free standing is given.
