Object Description
An early 19th century Mendlesham elm and fruit wood Windsor chair.
The chair is most likely from the Mendlesham area of Suffolk where the Day family produced this style of chair from the late 18th century.
The arm chair has a lovely shaped elm seat with fruit wood arms, legs and spindle back.
The frame of the back is decorated with box wood line inlays, turned balls and a pierced splat.
The chair is in good condition. (Circa 1820)
