Object Description
early Ming blue and white porcelain stem cup made at the kilns at Jingdezhen. painted over the top of a all over anhua of waves and conch shells. the anhua is delicate and intricate.
The blue painting is of mythical and real animals including the deer, tortoise, quilin and horse with lotus flowers.
the stem is decorated to the base with grasses and flowers.
The inside is painted to the base with a conch shell in waves so repeating the anhua design
excellent and delicate potting and painting great piece.
Overall good. kiln grit around the base of the stem and two very small filled frits and one small chip to the inside of the stem has been filled. no overspray.
