Object Description
Moonstone and diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set with one drop shape cabochon natural unenhanced moonstone in an open back claw setting, two in total with a combined approximate weight of 12.00 carats, set to top with one round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total with an approximate combined weight of 1.32 carats, further set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, decorated further with ten round eight cut diamonds, twenty in total with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.02 carats, to an articulated drop earring flowing with movement featuring polished borders, a linear pierced gallery with chenier detail and open shaped backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly, approximately 4.5cm in length. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
