This fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a hen with four accompanying chicks.
The bodies of the hen and chicks are represented by four natural pearls, in various sizes.
Each of the chickens have a cabochon cut ruby eye, and 9ct gold beak.
The hen’s tail feathers are ornamented with six pavé set Dutch cut diamonds.
The birds are stood upon a linear bar, crafted in silver.
The bar is embellished with thirty-one pavé set Dutch cut diamonds and a millegrain decorated border.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin fastening.
This antique gold bird brooch with diamonds has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold and silver.
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
