A gold Near Eastern pendant from Ancient Bactria which was once an earring transformed in antiquity. The piece features a triangular form, composed of granulated rows – each row is one granule longer than the row above. A smaller granule has been placed on each ball along with two flat disc like shapes enriching the top of the triangle. The fish hook backing of the earring has been bent and sealed in antiquity to form a suspension loop.
