This Neoclassical style gilt bronze and enamel clock set contains a mantel clock and two conforming candelabra. The mantel clock is designed about the scheme of a gilt bronze drum lifted by a rectangular support, which in turn sits on a gilt bronze base raised by gilt bronze feet. The gilt bronze drum is mounted with various gilt bronze motifs, including Neoclassical masks and foliate forms. The rectangular support that lifts the drum is supported by a pair of gilt bronze scrolling buttresses. The base is similarly decorated, mounted on its apron with gilt bronze swags. The front of the clock support, like the front of the base, is inset with an enamel panel decorated with motifs wrought from cloisonné enamelwork. The clock drum is topped with an urn-form finial, decorated with cloisonné enamel, which is flanked by gilt bronze vine forms.
The clock dial, gilt like the remainder of the profusely gilt body, is numbered with Arabic numeral hour marks. The two five-light candelabra are similarly decorated, conforming to the decorative scheme of the mantel clock.
