This fine and large multi-purpose free-standing antique is made from a veined white onyx case with ormolu mounts and glazed panels in a refined and elegant Neoclassical style. The vitrine central body is set with three shelves and hinged door to the front. The top with a flat onyx surface to be used as a pedestal. Additionally, the front is set with an enamel clock dial and the sides with a barometer and a thermometer. The ormolu foliate mounts throughout feature a subtle Orientalist design, contrasting in theme pleasingly with the overall neoclassicism of the piece.
