Newman’s Artist’s Paint Box
A middle of the 19th century mahogany brass bound artist’s paint box by Newman’s.
This box is a very good example, with 14 block paints each impressed with “Newman’s” and the colour on one side and a crown with 5 feather plumage on the other.
The interior of the box has several ceramic paint pots and a glass water dish.
The base of the box has a slim drawer with a ring handle and a locking pin.
The drawer holds four more ceramic dishes and space for pencil or brush storage.
This quality artist’s box is in good condition, there is no key. (Circa 1850)
