Object Description
This good quality pair of cast George II silver candlesticks were made in London in 1753 by John Cafe and measure 8.25 inches tall by 4.25 inches across the base. They have large shells at the corners leading into the stems where the shells are repeated below the bowls and they have detachable shell cornered sconces. They are fully hallmarked under the bases and one is marked on the bowl with the lion passant. They are in very good condition and weigh 31.30 ounces or 976 grams.
