Original vintage travel advertising poster by the notable poster artist A.M. Cassandre (Adolphe Mouron Cassandre; 1901-1968) published for the Venezia Graphic Design Conference in 1951 and used by the Italian Tourist Office ENIT to promote the city of Venice in north east Italy featuring a stunning iconic Art Deco design depicting a gondolier leaning forward on his traditional gondola boat in front of a historic building on a canal with the image reflected on the calm water below, capturing the peaceful and romantic atmosphere of the city, the title text in stylised lettering with the logos on each side. Good condition, staining, backed on linen.
