These are a very good pair of Chinese Plates from the 18th century, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period, 1736-1795.
Each plate is beautifully decorated with four figures, in a pagoda setting, having two ladies (long eliza’s) a man and child, all on a veranda by the house, with a lake, buildings and mountains in the background. The design is hand-painted overglaze with rich polychrome enamels of green, burnt orange, blue and magenta. The outer rim has the normal border pattern of medallions and flower sprigs.
The plates are unmarked to the base.
