Pair gilt and silver gilt wall lights, Italy late 19th century

Object Description

A large pair of carved wood silver gilt and gilt wall sconces in the Baronial manner, each with a single candle arm retaining the original iron prickets and pierced metal drip trays, the shield shaped backs carved with foliage, the centres with stippled ground and the initials S B. Italian, late 19th century

Object Condition

One arm has been broken off at some stage and repaired. Gilding rubbed in places. Overall very good condition.
