Object Description
This is super pair of antique Edwardian sterling silver and glass whisky noggins/jugs each with a curved handle and silver collar with thumb rest for opening the lid.
They are conical in shape and have a cut glass star on the base.
They have matching silversmiths marks for Charles & George Asprey and are hallmarked for London 1906
These jugs are usually Scottish in origin and are used for serving individual portions of whisky equivalent to a gill.
Both are in excellent condition and are perfectly usable today.
Each one measures 3 1/2″ (9 cms) tall x 2 1/4″ (6 cms) across the base.
