A pair of early 20th century mahogany George II style elbow chairs.
The chairs are substantially made from solid mahogany with drop in pad seats.
The chairs have a high back with a broad central splat that has a shell carving at the top.
The shepherd’s crook shaped arms have a carved scroll end and curved supports.
The chairs have claw and ball feet to the front legs, a pad foot to the back legs and all are joined by a diagonal turned mahogany cross stretcher.
The chairs are strong, in very good condition and would make good desk chairs. (Circa 1900)
