PAIR OF GILT BRONZE EMPIRE CANDLESTICKS CONVERTED TO LAMPS, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Pair of finely incised gilt bronze candlesticks, with central column of rising leaf and berry decoration.
The tops of the candlesticks decorated with upwards facing acanthus leaves, the bases decorated with further leaf and berry motifs in the Empire style. France c.1815.
Converted to lamps with faux candles and electrified for the UK.
Shown with 12″smooth silk gathered coolie shade available separately.
