Pair Of Hugo Lonitz Majolica Partridge Cache Pot Stands

Object Description

Pair of Lonitz Majolica cache pot stands which feature partridges in front of an oak tree, with reeds and bulrushes (cattails) either side. One partridge is looking after her young chicks. Colouration: green, brown, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Lonitz pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘1203 and 1204’.

Object Condition

Stand 1: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chips to four reed leaf tips. Retouched flakes to two oak leaves. Stand 2: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chips to 3 reed leaf tips. Retouched flakes to a few leaves. Filled chips to two oak leaves.
