Circa 1860, rare pair of Irish, Chippendale-style mahogany small armchairs with green and gold tapestry upholstery. The curved, upholstered rectangular backs and out swept fluted arms on shaped acanthus carved supports over the over-stuffed serpentine-fronted seats. Supported on carved cabriole front legs with lion mask knees and hairy claw feet. The outswept shaped rear supports are on pad feet.
