Object Description
This spectacular pair of neoclassical style antique sandstone garden urns were sourced from an estate in the west of Scotland circa 1800.Both decorative stone urns are of a large and impressive scale, making spectacular statuary in a prestigious garden. Distinctly neoclassical in style, they are of a matching design, hand carved with anthemion to the neck above a tapered body carved with a lattice of flaming torches in high relief and finally elevated on fluted socle bases. You can imagine these spectacular sandstone urns as a striking feature in a countryside estate, used as finials for a gate, stairway or entrance or as a focal point of a historic courtyard.
