The candelabrum in this pair are made from gilt bronze inset with porcelain plaques, the porcelain being decorated in the manner of Sèvres. Each candelabrum is supported by a rectangular gilt bronze base inset with porcelain plaques to the front. From each base rises a rectangular tapering column-form stem, which is inset to the front with a painted porcelain plaque decorated with Rococo imagery executed in pastel shades. This plaque on each candelabrum is flanked by ram’s head gilt bronze mounts, between which is draped a gilt bronze swag.
The stem of each candelabrum is topped by a porcelain vase-shaped mount, from which emerge the branches of the candelabrum. Each vase supports five branches, scrolled and foliate in form, four S-shaped and one rising vertically.
