These stunning, fine and impressive Victorian bracelets have been crafted in 14ct yellow gold.
The mesh bracelets are each ornamented with a feature pierced decorated shaped setting, embellished with a black enamel decoration and a collet set seed pearl.
A second shaped setting is positioned to the terminal, from which seventeen spiga style tassels suspend.
The adjustable bracelets secure with a slide fastening.
The bracelets are engraved to the reverse with the name ‘Kate W. Harris’.
The bracelets are fitted to a blue satin and velvet lined presentation case, which bears the retailer’s name to the interior of the case; Mervin G. Morais Antiques, 313 Royal St. New Orleans 16, La.
The original sales document from 1965 is supplied, staying the price of GBP £1,320.00, an equivalent of GBP £33,000.00 in today’s value, and dates the bracelets circa 1865.
The antique Victorian bracelets are each hallmarked to the side of the feature setting with the mark for 14ct gold (14K).
