This shaving brush packs by simply unscrewing the head, turning it upside down and pushing it bristles first into the butt of the handle, once its cap has been removed. Not only does this reduce its size but it protects the brush.
A similar silver shaving brush is illustrated in The Army & Navy Store catalogue. The brush is stamped with the maker’s initials of TJ and on each separate piece for London 1882.
Dimensions assembled are given.
