Object Description
Qianlong puce decorated lidded bowl and saucer. Expertly painted with a scene depicting an European landscape with classical Roman / Greco ruins. Three European figures are shown, a Lady , a Gentleman and their servant., with European style foliage.
the scene is surrounded with a border of flowers and items and the rim is decorated with a stylized version of this border.
this is an excellent piece and although a European scene with obvious European figures it is very well painted and there is nothing clumsy about it.
