This fine quality square crested George I silver salver was made in London in 1725 by Huguenot Simon Pantin and measures almost 6 inches square and has a central crest of a turret with a bird of prey atop. It is fully hallmarked on the face – rubbed but readable and stands on 4 shaped and cut feet and is in very good condition weighing 10.55 ounces or 328 grams.
