This good quality large armorial George IV silver presentation goblet was made in London in 1826 by William Eley and has a coat of arms to one side and an anscription to the other which reads MDCCCXXVII JOANNES SUDBURY NUPER DEC: DUN: ET HENRICUS HUBBARD S.T.B. COLL: SOC: ROBERTO BUNCH A.B. COLL: EIMAN: AIEV APISEUEIV.
It is designed as a scaled down wine cooler being of campagna form with acanthus lead handles either side and fluting below and around the foot rim. It is fully hallmarked to the side and is in very good condition weighing17 ounces or 529 grams.
