Object Description

This very good quality pair of Victorian silver salts were made in London in 1865 by John Figg and measure 5 inches handle to handle by 2.5 inches wide and are 2.75 inches at their highest. They have their original clear glass liners and stand on a fluted pedestal leading into a band of acanthus leaf decoration which in turn leads into piercing with swagged belle flower garlands and the border being beaded matching the pedestal border, there are rings at either end and they are fully and clearly hallmarked to the bases. We have put a pair of bead pattern salt spoons with them bearing the initials JAM, a quality pair of salts in super condition weighing 7.60 ounces or 237 grams.
