Object Description
An exceptional Omar Ramsden and Alwyn Carr silver and enamel tea caddy fully hallmarked for London, 1902. Of hexagonal form, each side depicts different flowers in enamel. The shoulders of the caddy are also chased with a flower design. This is a highly unusual and early piece by Ramsden and Carr.
The caddy overall presents very well. The silver is in excellent condition save for some missing teeth that hold the enamels. The enamels are partly restored. Several have minor areas of restoration visible under UV light. One panel has been coated in varnish to protect it.
