Rare Antique Kazak Rug

Object Description

An excellent example of Caucasian carpet rug weaving from the Kazak region of Azerbaijan. Featuring tribal motifs through the centre on a rust orange background. Woven with accent colours of green blue and ivory this rustic tribal rug is sure to uplift any room it’s introduced to.

Object History

This Antique Kazak Rug was handwoven in the Shravan area of Caucasus. Constructed with handspun, vegetable-dyed wool. Circa 1880.
