Object Description

This rare George I Scottish silver bullet teapot was made in Edinburgh in 1725 by William Aytoun and measures almost 7 inches tall by 9.25 inches handle to spout and is 3.25 inches across the base. It has no engravings or embellishments and has a straight spout with a stepped pedestal base, a double scrolled wooden handle, a plain hinge with a drop detail and a round finial. It is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base and is in very good condition weighing ounces or grams and as useful as the day it was made.
