Object Description

A rare Roman cream pottery plaque decorated with a fish in low relief. The detail is quite clear and if accurately depicted, it is more than likely that the type of fish will be identifiable. The perimeter of the plaque decorated with a wave pattern in relief. Reverse flat, undecorated. Supplied with a purpose-made display stand.

Circa 1st-4th century AD.
